he Chino Cowboys Basketball team recently played their final home game on February 6th, against the Montclair Cavaliers. The game also doubled as the Cowboys’ Senior Night, honoring all the Varsity players who will soon be moving on to the next chapter of their lives. Before the game started each Senior player was called out to the center of the court to receive a gift of recognition and were walked down the center of the court by family member.

After the Senior Night ceremony and festivities, both teams prepared for the game by warming up on their respective sides. Once the warmup period was over and both teams were ready to play, the game began at 6:30 PM.

The game kicked off with the Cavaliers winning the jump-off over the Cowboys. The first quarter of the game was steady with both teams scoring at a consistent rate. At the end of the quarter the score was 18-14 with the Cavaliers on top.

The second quarter of the game saw a dramatic change in the Cowboys’ defense in a negative way. The Cowboys allowed the Cavaliers to score a total of 24 points within the quarter. The Cowboys, on the other hand, were only able to score 8 points on the Cavaliers, making the score 42-22 at the end of the half of the game.

After halftime, the third quarter had similar results as the first quarter. Both teams were consistently scoring and their defense both held up against one another. The Cavaliers, however, were able to out play the Cowboys offensively. The score at the end of the third quarter was 63-39 with the Cavaliers having a lead of 24 points.

The final quarter of the game saw a complete turnaround for the Cowboys offensively and defensively. The Cowboys were able to score a total of 21 points in the quarter while holding the Cavaliers to only 15 points.

Although the Cowboys were making a steady come back, it wasn’t enough to win them the game. The final score of the game was 78-60 with the Cavaliers claiming victory over the Cowboys making their final record 3-7 in league.
