Violet Salazar was nominated athlete of the week after winning her game at the La Miranda tournament on March 30th .

Violet won her championship after pushing her shut out game to 3 for 5 leading her team to win. Violet first started playing softball when she was 5 years old and really enjoyed playing and ever since she found a passion in softball. Currently she is positioned as pitcher, alpha and 2nd base if needed.

Her motivation is her travel ball coach. “he had a hard life and baseball was his motivation that helped him succeed in life and I want to follow his footsteps.”, she said.

She’s received a couple of scholarship offers from schools such as Howard University, Sierra Cruz, and Notre dame. At the moment she has not decided which offer to take.
