On Saturday Nov. 17, Chino’s Girl cross country team competed for the first time in 15 years in the CIF championship. The competition took place at the Riverside cross country course.

Five girls competed  in the CIF championship, Sarah Cuevas-Molina, Emily Gutierrez, Allison Gutierrez, Megan Mirolla, and Mia Chavez. In their last race the girls did an outstanding job.

Chavez  a Freshman, came in second place in Division 3. She is the fastest runner on the team.  Out of over 20 schools she came in second place putting her at the top of the charts to compete in CIF’s championship, the Chino High girls Cross Country team are competing in CIF championship.

Cuevas-Molina a junior stated, “the key to making it this far is to have passion and a lot of indurance.”
