An Unfortunate Loss For Chino Girls’ Tennis

Last Tuesday, October 30th, Chino High Girls’ varsity tennis fought hard against the Webb School’s Gauls at Webb High School during a CIF wildcard playoff game falling short with a score of 9-9(75-69).  

The cowgirls faced off against the Gauls who had a record of 11-9-1 but ultimately lost to Webb. 

Chinos won two singles match, by Kathy Castillo who won 6-3, 6-1 and Angie Murillo with a win of 6-3.  

For Chino’s doubles they won three matches, the first was Dani Ulloa & Natalie Tapia with a big win of 7-5, 6-3, 6-0. The second win was Valerie Lara & Brianna Calcanas who won 6-1, 6-3. The final doubles match was Vanessa Martinez & Ximena Padilla with a 6-1 match win. 

Although the cowgirls lost the wildcard play off game, they finished their season with a great record of 14-6.
