On November 2nd at Chino High School during lunch. Folklorico put on a dance performance on the quad.

They were doing this performance in order to celebrate Day of the Dead. Day of the Dead is a multi-day holiday focused on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died, and help support their spiritual journey.

There were many Folklorico performers dancing their routine very beautifully. Many students were amazed at their well-done performance. Club member Lauren Melgar told the Lariat that they only practiced for a week. It is incredible to do a well-done performance in such a short time.

Some members were unable to perform due to limited space. They decided only to do one dance routine because, the club president did not want the performers to feel overwhelmed with a long performance, since it was their first official performance for the school.

After the Folklorico members finished their performance they received a handful number of claps and cheers. Then they played a song called “Caballo Dorado” in which some students and teachers joined in to dance with each other. Folklorico arrived and displayed quite a show.
