Here at Chino High School, senior Alexis Buss will be Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s “Honored Hero” according to campaign manager Emily Bartlett. The role of the “Honored Hero” is to inspire others and raise extra funds for helping youths battling cancer. 

Student of the Year is an award presented to students who raise the most money by leading a team to help fundraise and plan their donations to Leukemia and Lymphoma. 

“At the end of the 7-week competition, we hold a Grand Finale to celebrate our outstanding candidates and everything they accomplished during the campaign. This will be held on March 31, 2019 at Fete the Venue, located in Costa Mesa, CA.” Barlett said regarding how and where the winner will be announced. 

The campaign workshop will take place on December 8, 2018, followed by the seven-week campaign starting on February 9- March 31, 2019 where the winner will be announced the day the campaign ends.
