Chino High School, established in 1897, has carried a legacy of notable people for many years.

Ruben Ayala

Ruben Ayala was an American politician, who was the first elected Mayor of Chino. Ayala’s hispanic upbringings came from his grandparents who immigrated from Mexico. He became notable for his social climb in society in a predominantly white community.  Before being elected as Mayor, he was elected to be a school board member for Chino School District (prior to being Chino Valley Unified School District).

Angela Williams

Angela WIlliams is an American athlete who won the CIF California State Championship in 1997 and 1998. She was also recognized as the High School Athlete of the Year by Track & Field News. She continued her career as an athlete, representing the United States at the Beijing Summer Olympics in 2008.

R.J. Stanford

R.J. Stanford is notable for being an American football cornerback, who is currently signed with the Detroit Lions. He carried the ball 233 times without a fumble and made 28 touchdown his senior year.

 

 

Tony Zendejas

Tony Zendejas was a former Mexican American football player. He was first signed by the Washington Redskin. He played soccer and football when he was at CHS.

Sam Maloof

Sam Maloof became a furniture designer and woodworker. Some of his collections can be seen in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Elita Loresca

Elita Loresca is a Filipino American newscaster, who currently works at KTRK-TV in Houston, Texas. She played basketball in her four years of high school. Loresca graduated in 1995 from CHS.

Cameron Dallas

Cameron Dallas is an internet personality, who became famous through his Vines. Vines are six second videos that are typically intended to be funny, viral videos. In April 2014, after having a following of 15 million of Instagram, Awesomeness-TV offered Dallas his own movie. Dallas’s most recent work includes a new Netflix series, Chasing Cameron, which premiered on December 27, 2016.
